Comment: This is the Utano Youth Hostel in Kyoto where I stayed Saturday night. Very nice and clean, but you still get the shared dorm experience.

The public bath was about 5km from the youth hostel I wanted to spend the night at, and there was no public transit to get there, so I started walking. After a couple km's I succeeded in catching a cab to take me the rest of the way. He drove much more sanely than Seoul cabbies, with the exception of being on the wrong side the entire time. * 2048 x 1536 * (581KB)

When riding in the taxi the night before, I just happened to see this sign as we were driving by, and asked to get out. Had I not seen it, I would have walked the wrong direction and it would have been a long night. * 2048 x 1536 * (542KB)
