At a nice restaurant in Kyoto they had a live traditional drumming performance in the beautiful garden. It was pretty dark so I couldn't get it to focus. * 2048 x 1536 * (577KB)

Didn't expect to see this in Kyoto. * 1536 x 2048 * (535KB)

The public bath was about 5km from the youth hostel I wanted to spend the night at, and there was no public transit to get there, so I started walking. After a couple km's I succeeded in catching a cab to take me the rest of the way. He drove much more sanely than Seoul cabbies, with the exception of being on the wrong side the entire time. * 2048 x 1536 * (581KB)

This is the Utano Youth Hostel in Kyoto where I stayed Saturday night. Very nice and clean, but you still get the shared dorm experience. * 1536 x 2048 * (502KB)
